# Checking In and Checking Out

In HRSimplified, employees can easily track their working hours using the **Check In** and **Check Out** feature. This helps both employees and managers monitor attendance, work hours, and ensures accurate timesheet records.

### **Steps to Check In:**

#### 1. Navigate to the Dashboard

Log in to your HRSimplified account. On the **Dashboard**, locate the **Check In** button. This button is prominently displayed and easy to access.

#### 2. Click "Check In"

At the start of your workday or when beginning a task, click the **Check In** button. The system will record the time of your check-in and update your attendance status.

#### 3. View Active Check-In

Once checked in, the button will change to **Check Out**. You can view your active check-in time from the dashboard, which shows the duration of your current work session.

---

### **Steps to Check Out:**

#### 1. Click "Check Out"

When you’re finished for the day or need to pause your work, click the **Check Out** button on your dashboard. This will stop the timer and record the end time for your work session.

#### 2. Allocate Time to a Task (Optional)

After checking out, a pop-up will appear asking you to select the **Project Task** where your time should be allocated (if applicable). Select the appropriate project and task from the drop-down list.

#### 3. Save Check-Out Entry

Once you have selected the task (if applicable), click **Save** to confirm the check-out. Your time will be logged in your timesheet, and it will reflect in both your attendance and project records.

---

### **Important Notes:**

- If you forget to check out, you can manually update your time under **My Time** to avoid any discrepancies in your timesheet.
- Checking in and out accurately ensures that your timesheet is up to date and that project tasks are billed properly.
- If necessary, you can add notes to your check-in or check-out entry, providing additional details about your workday.
