Applying for Leave in HRSimplified (ESS)

2 min read

In HRSimplified, employees can easily apply for leave through the Employee Self Service (ESS) portal. This guide walks you through the steps to apply for leave, check your leave balances, and track the status of your request.

Steps to Apply for Leave: #

1. Navigate to “My Leave” #

Log in to HRSimplified, and from the left-hand menu, go to My Leave under the Dashboard. This section displays your leave balance and allows you to apply for leave.

2. Click “Apply for Leave” #

On the My Leave page, click the Apply for Leave button located at the top of the page. This will open the leave request form.

3. Choose Your Leave Type #

In the leave request form, select the Leave Type from the drop-down menu (e.g., annual leave, sick leave, etc.). The system will show your available balance for that leave type.

4. Select Leave Dates #

Pick the Start Date and End Date for your leave using the calendar widget. You can choose full days or half days depending on your company’s policies.

5. Add a Note #

You will need to provide a Note explaining the reason for your leave request. This field is mandatory.

6. Attach Supporting Documents (Optional) #

If your company requires supporting documents for certain types of leave (e.g., medical certificates for sick leave), you can attach the document using the Attach File button.

7. Submit the Leave Request #

Once all the required fields are completed, click Submit. Your leave request will be sent to your manager for approval.

Tracking Your Leave Request: #

  • After submitting, you can track the status of your request in the My Leave section. Requests will show as Pending, Approved, or Rejected.
  • You will also receive a notification once your request is approved or rejected.

Important Notes: #

  • Ensure that your leave balance is sufficient before submitting a request to avoid rejections.
  • Managers can provide feedback or request additional documents if needed.
