Peer reviews in HRSimplified offer a 360-degree evaluation process by allowing employees to receive feedback from their colleagues in addition to their managers. The peer review process is an essential component of performance management, providing insights into teamwork, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Here’s how to manage and complete peer reviews in HRSimplified.

Steps to Manage Peer Reviews #

1. Receive a Peer Review Notification #

  • Email Notification: When you are selected to participate in a peer review, you will receive an email notification from HRSimplified informing you that a peer review is pending.
  • The email will include details about the employee you will be reviewing, along with a link to access the peer review form.

2. Access the Peer Review Section #

  • Log in to your HRSimplified account.
  • Navigate to the Employee Self-Service section.
  • Click on My Performance and then select the Peer Assessments tab. Here, you’ll find a list of pending peer reviews.

3. Start the Peer Review #

  • Click on the peer review you wish to start. The review template will include questions and criteria specifically tailored to the employee’s role and the areas in which they interact with you.

4. Complete Peer Review Questions #

  • Preloaded Peer Review Questions: HRSimplified provides standard peer review questions that are typically used to assess collaboration, communication, and teamwork. Depending on how the template was set up, these questions might include:
    • “How effectively does this employee collaborate with team members?”
    • “How well does this employee contribute to overall team goals?”
  • Answering the Questions: Each question may require you to provide a rating (e.g., on a 1–5 scale) and possibly additional comments or examples that support your rating.

Managing Open-Ended Feedback #

1. Providing Detailed Feedback #

  • Some peer review templates include open-ended questions that allow you to provide more detailed feedback on the employee’s performance.
    • Example: “In what ways has this employee demonstrated leadership in team projects?”
  • Take the time to offer constructive and detailed feedback, as this will provide valuable insights for the employee and the manager.

2. Submitting the Peer Review #

  • After completing the questions and providing any additional comments, click Submit to send your peer review. Once submitted, the feedback will be available to the manager during their review process.

Tracking Peer Review Progress #

1. Check Completion Status #

  • You can return to the Peer Assessments section at any time to see if you have any remaining reviews to complete. Completed reviews will be marked, while pending ones will still be available to action.

2. Manager Review #

  • Once all peer reviews are completed, the manager will be notified to review the feedback and finalize the employee’s performance assessment.

Important Notes: #

  • Anonymous or Named Reviews: Depending on the company’s settings, peer reviews can either be anonymous or attributed to the reviewer. Make sure you understand how your feedback will be shared.
  • Timely Submission: Peer reviews are time-sensitive. You will receive email reminders if your peer review is still pending and approaching the deadline.
  • Constructive Feedback: When providing feedback, ensure it is both constructive and specific, highlighting areas of strength as well as opportunities for improvement.
