When an employee submits a leave request in HRSimplified, their assigned manager is notified and can either approve or reject the request. There are two convenient ways to review and manage these requests.
Steps to Approve or Reject a Leave Request: #
1. Receive the Email Notification #
- Once an employee submits a leave request, the assigned manager will receive an email notification informing them that the request is awaiting approval.
2. Log into the System #
- The manager will need to log into HRSimplified to access the leave request details and take action.
Method 1: Approve Leave from the Dashboard #
1. Navigate to the Dashboard #
- On the manager’s dashboard, there is a Leave Applications shortcut button. If any leave requests are pending, a notification bubble will display the number of outstanding requests.
2. Review Pending Requests #
- Click on the Leave Applications button to open a modal that displays all pending leave requests.
- Select the request you wish to review, and you will be presented with the employee’s leave details, including:
- Leave type
- Dates requested
- Leave balance
- The note provided by the employee
3. Approve or Reject the Request #
- After reviewing the request, you can either click Accept to approve the leave or Reject to deny it.
Method 2: Approve Leave from the Leave Management Menu #
1. Access the Leave Menu #
- Managers can also access the list of pending leave requests by going to the Leave Management section in the main menu.
- Select Leave Applications from the list.
2. Review and Approve Requests #
- The Leave Applications section provides the same list of outstanding leave requests as the dashboard.
- Review the leave details for the selected request, and either click Accept to approve or Reject to deny the leave.
Important Notes: #
- Leave Notifications: If an employee’s leave request is approved or rejected, they will be automatically notified via email.
- Leave Balances: Make sure to check the employee’s leave balance to ensure they have sufficient leave days before approving the request.
- Multiple Access Points: Managers have the flexibility to approve leave requests from both the dashboard and the Leave Management menu, making it convenient no matter where they are in the system.
