The Employee of the Month award recognizes outstanding contributions by allowing employees or managers to vote on the recipient. This guide will take you through setting up the achievement, creating a voting session, enabling employees to cast votes, and finalizing the winner.
Step 1: Create the “Employee of the Month” Achievement #
Before you can set up voting, you need to create the award (achievement) that will be given to the selected employee.
- Navigate to Setup:
- Go to Setup in the main menu and select Create Achievement.
- Enter Award Details:
- Achievement Name: Enter “Employee of the Month.”
- Description: Provide a brief description, such as “Awarded monthly to an employee who demonstrates exceptional performance and dedication.”
- Achievement Type: Choose a type, like “Monthly Recognition.”
- Badge: Select a Silver Badge to visually represent the award.
- Points: Assign 100 points to this award to make it a valuable addition to the employee’s score.
- Save the Achievement:
- Click Save to complete the setup. The “Employee of the Month” award is now available for voting and direct assignments.
Step 2: Set Up the Voting Session for “Employee of the Month” #
With the achievement created, you can now set up a voting session to let employees or managers decide the recipient.
- Create the Voting Session:
- Go back to Setup and select Create Vote from the action menu.
- Select Achievement for Voting:
- In the voting setup, select “Employee of the Month” from the list of available achievements.
- Set an End Date for the voting session, such as the last day of the month, to ensure voting closes on time.
- Save the Voting Session:
- Click Save to finalize the voting session. The session will now appear in the Votes menu, ready to assign eligible voters.
Step 3: Assign Voters and Manage Voting #
Once the voting session is created, it’s time to assign managers or employees as voters who will participate in selecting the recipient.
- Navigate to the Votes Menu:
- Go to the Votes menu to see the “Employee of the Month” voting session you just created.
- Open Voting Session for Management:
- Find the “Employee of the Month” session and select Manage Award to open the setup modal.
- Assign Voters:
- In the voting setup modal, add employees or managers as eligible voters. Only active users will appear in the list.
- Once added, these voters will see the voting request in their Open Votes Application section on their dashboard.
Step 4: Employee Voting Process #
Voters (employees or managers) can now cast their votes for the “Employee of the Month” award. Here’s how they do it:
- Open the Voting Request:
- Voters receive a notification in their Open Votes Application section on their dashboard.
- Submit a Vote:
- Voters view the list of eligible candidates for the award and select the employee they believe deserves the title “Employee of the Month.”
- After submitting their vote, it is recorded in the system for managers to review.
- Track Voting Progress:
- Managers can monitor the voting status in real-time in the Votes menu to see who has cast their votes.
Step 5: Review Voting Results and Approve the Award #
After the voting session ends or all votes are submitted, managers can review the results and approve the award for the winning employee.
- Access Voting Results:
- Go to the Votes menu and find the “Employee of the Month” session.
- Click Manage Award to open the Votes modal for results.
- Review Voting Results:
- Voters Tab: View the completion status of each voter to confirm participation.
- Votes Tab: See the scores for each candidate. The employee with the most votes will be highlighted as the likely winner.
- Approve and Finalize the Winner:
- When voting is complete, the system confirms the employee with the highest score as the award recipient.
- The winning employee is awarded the badge and points, and the achievement appears in their My Awards dashboard.

- Set Clear Criteria: Announce the criteria for the award to ensure everyone understands the basis for selection.
